It’s great to see Oprah Winfrey with her rescued puppy, Sadie, after she came so close to dying from the devastating Parvo virus:

At the same time, of course, it’s sad that she lost Ivan.

As Oprah intimates in this article, Parvo was a very different virus 13 years ago than it is today.

Back then, simple hydration, maybe with antibiotics, was usually enough to save most dogs.

However, the 2c strain that is prevalent today, and sweeping the country, from the southern states all the way up to the northern ones, including, of course, Illinois, is much more contagious, much more aggressive, and much harder to treat.

Also, whereas Parvo used to be almost exclusively a puppy problem, we are now seeing more and more adults getting Parvo too - even if they’ve been fully vaccinated and are up-to-date on all their shots.

In fact, we see vaccinations as part of the problem, so please read our blog post, “Parvo Vaccinations - What The Vet Won’t Tell You!“, to find out more, and to see why we recommend not vaccinating your dog.

We’ve dealt with 3,315 cases of Parvo since March 2007, and month by month, we are finding that we need to throw more things at this virus to give the dog a fighting chance.

The good news is that, using our safe, herbal products, which are chemical-free, we do have a 90% success rate (provided customers follow all of our very detailed and comprehensive treatment plans), which is a lot better than most vets offer - their average is, according to the many customers we’ve spoken to, 50%.

Sadly, the Parvo treatment protocols used by most vets today seem to be antiquated, designed for the virus of the 70s, 80s and 90s, and not for the 2c strain that is killing dogs at an alarming rate - some die in as little as 6 - 12 hours after the very first visible symptoms appear!

So, with vaccinations being ineffective in many cases, and even giving dogs Parvo, not to mention all of the long-term, chronic issues that all chemicals (i.e. not just those in vaccinations, but also those in dewormers, commercial dog food and household cleaners, to name but a few) cause, such as a weakened immune system, the best way to be prepared, should the worst happen and you experience a Parvo outbreak, is to have one of our Parvo Treatment Kits on hand at all times.

That way, you can begin treatment immediately, as one of the biggest problems we see with our customers is that they wait far too long before taking any action - three days is common, but we’ve seen some people wait for up to a week before doing anything at all about the fact that their dog is clearly not well.

We know that some of the symptoms (e.g. vomit, diarrhea) can appear to be something else (e.g. something he ate that disagreed with him), but if you just ride it out and hope it clears up by itself, then if it does turn out to be Parvo, you’ve wasted valuable time that your sick dog doesn’t have, and that could cost him his life.

Doesn’t your doggie deserve the very best care and protection that there is?
