FAQs

Welcome to our FAQ page, where you'll find answers to some of our more frequently asked questions:

Customer Support

  1. Is there support available?

Yes, we provide support via phone, email and Live Chat for the following situations:

    1. Pre-Sales:
      1. We will answer your questions about the products.
      2. We will answer your questions about Parvo and other health issues.
      3. We will help you place an order on the phone.
      4. We can help you use the Product Selector.
    2. Post-Sales:
      1. We will help with additional dosage questions.
      2. We will help with unusual situations.
      3. We can help with after-care solutions.
    3. Cancelled Orders & Orders Placed With Other Resellers:
      1. We cannot support non-customers because this takes us away from supporting our paying customers.
      2. We will also not be liable for transactions between you and another reseller as we have no way to determine the actual details of that transaction (e.g. we have no way to know what products were sold, what instructions they gave you).
      3. So if you choose to buy products from some other reseller and you have questions and need support, you have to get that support from the person or company you purchased the products from.

Heartworms

  1. How Much Does It Cost To Treat Heartworms?

If you take your dog to the vet, you can expect to pay from $500 to $1,000 (or more) - per dog.

However, using a product such as HeartWorm Free will work out a lot cheaper, and it's a safe, all-natural product.

  2. My Dog Is On Heartworm Preventative, So Should I Have Him Tested?

Yes, even though you give your dog a heartworm preventative every month, you should still have him tested once a year. Heartworm preventatives only kill the small, baby heartworms at certain ages, so if some are missed, they will grow to become deadly adult heartworms.

Household Remedies

  1. Can I Treat My Dogs With Household Remedies?

Yes, there are some common household human medications that are safe to use on pets and that can be extremely useful if you can't get to a vet immediately, but they should only be considered short term, temporary measures.

Remember, though, that prevention is the key, so please make sure any chemical-based substances are kept safely locked away from your dogs.

Parvaid

  1. Is Parvaid Safe?

Yes, there have been no instances of dogs having any side-effects or adverse reactions after being treated with Parvaid since the product was first introduced in 1997.

  2. Is Parvaid A Prescription Medicine?

No, Parvaid, as well as our other products (e.g. Life Cell Immune Support, Vibactra Plus), are all organic and chemical-free, and contain no artificial preservatives, no artificial colorings, and no synthesized compounds.

They are classed as herbal supplements (for pets) and are not considered drugs, and are therefore not regulated by the Food and Drug Agency (FDA) 1.

Herbal supplements are a type of dietary supplement that contains herbs, either singly or in mixtures. An herb (also called a botanical) is a plant or plant part used for its scent, flavor, and/or therapeutic properties.

Dietary supplements were defined in a law passed by US Congress in 1994. A dietary supplement must meet all of the following conditions: 2
    • It is a product (other than tobacco) intended to supplement the diet, which contains one or more of the following: vitamins; minerals; herbs or other botanicals; amino acids; or any combination of the above ingredients.
    • It is intended to be taken in tablet, capsule, powder, softgel, gelcap, or liquid form.
    • It is not represented for use as a conventional food or as a sole item of a meal or the diet.
    • It is labeled as being a dietary supplement.

  3. How Much Parvaid Do I Need?

A 1oz. bottle of Parvaid can treat approximately two small-sized dogs of about 15lbs. each, or one medium-sized dog of about 30lbs, but note that you will also need both Vibactra Plus and Life Cell Immune Support, whether your dog is currently sick or has been exposed.

However, the amount you will need varies on how many dogs you have, their weights, and whether they have Parvo or not, as well as several other factors, which is why we created our unique Product Selector tool that will tell you exactly which products you need, and how many of them, for your particular situation.

Parvo

  1. What Is Parvo?

Parvo, sometimes known as Canine Parvovirus, is a viral disease that affects the intestinal tract and immune system.

You can read more about this potentially deadly virus on our What Is Parvo? page.

  2. Is There A Cure For Parvo?

No, there is no cure for Parvo, nor do we claim that any of our products, such as Parvaid™, is such a cure. Our products may be used both to treat dogs that have Parvo and to prevent dogs that have been exposed to the virus from developing full-blown Parvo, and they have a 90% success rate in treating dogs with Parvo, and close to a 100% success rate in treating exposed dogs that have not started showing symptoms yet, but they are not cures.

  3. Am I, Or Are Any Of My Other Pets In Danger?

No, only dogs can contract the Parvo virus, so humans and other non-canine animals are safe.

While there is a human strain of Parvo, often referred to as B19 or Fifth Disease, it's not the same, and the symptoms are very different - it rarely does little more than produce a rash, with maybe some fever and joint pain, and it hardly ever causes death (if it does, it's mainly pre-natal during the second or third trimester).

  4. Are Some Breeds More Susceptible Than Others?

For some reason, Doberman Pinschers, German Shepherds, Pit Bulls, Labrador Retrievers and Rottweilers, as well as other black and tan breeds seem to be particularly prone to Parvo, and seem to succumb to it faster and with a lower chance of recovery than any other breed.

Conversely, Toy Poodles and Cockers appear to be at a reduced risk of contracting this disease (**).

It is important to remember, however, that any breed can get Parvovirus, so be sure to keep your dog's vaccinations up to date.

** Breed information from The Merck Veterinary Manual, 8th ed.

  5. Is Vaccination Effective?

Research indicates that a single immunizing dose (which is not the same as a single shot) can provide life-long immunity to Parvo. A more cautious approach would be to vaccinate adult dogs every two to three years, with puppies being given their shots at six to eight weeks, again at 14 to 16 weeks, and then once more at 22 weeks.

The effectiveness of vaccines predominantly depends on three factors:

    • the quality of the vaccine and its ability to stimulate seroconversion (immunity) in a wide range of individual dogs
    • the individual dog's ability to seroconvert after vaccination
    • the individual dog's health at the time of vaccination, which will affect the previous factor.

We recommend PROGARD, but for more information why, please check out our What Is Parvo? page.

  6. How Can Parvo Be Treated?

There are two basic options - taking your dog to the vet, or treating him at home.

If you take your dog to the vet, he will typically be kept in for a day or two, left on a drip to prevent further dehydration, which is what kills most dogs that contract this virus, and given antibiotics. This treatment is not guaranteed to work - it largely depends on how quickly your dog is treated after being diagnosed, as the Parvo virus get to its deadly work very quickly once the incubation period is over.

The cost of this treatment is likely to be in the hundreds or even thousands of dollars, for each dog, so if you have more than one dog and several or all of them come down with Parvo, then you can multiply this cost several fold. Also, don't forget that your dog will be in an unfamiliar environment during this treatment, which will create additional stress (for both you and your dog).

The second option is to treat your dog at home, yourself. Here, you will be able to be with your pet throughout the treatment, providing the love and attention he needs.

In terms of a solution for the Parvo itself, we recommend, as a minimum, a combination of Parvaid™, Vibactra Plus and Life Cell Immune Support, which are safe and all-natural solutions that have a 90% success rate when used to treat Parvo, and an almost perfect success rate when used as a preventative measure. And because it's they're very concentrated formulae, a 1oz. bottle can treat one medium-sized dog (of 30 lbs); however, this will vary based on your dog's weight and health condition, so we recommend you use our Product Selector to get a personalised quote.

  7. How Much Does It Cost To Treat Parvo?

If you take your dog to the vet's, then you can expect to pay around $100 for a Parvo test, but then your bill to have your dog treated can be anywhere from a $500 to over $6,000 - per dog. This is because your dog may have to stay at the vet's for a night or two, which doesn't come cheap, and then there will be the cost of any medicines, IV drips, etc.

However, if you treat your dog using Parvaid™, Vibactra Plus and Life Cell Immune Support, which are the three products contained in our Silver Value Pack, your cost will be substantially less. These three 1oz. bottles, including overnight shipping, will cost less than $175 and contain enough to treat a medium-sized dog (of 30lbs).

Refunds & Returns

  1. Do You Have A Returns Policy?

Yes, we do. Please visit our Returns Policy page for details.

  2. Do You Refund The Shipping Cost?

No, we are unfortunately unable to refund the cost of shipping. We can only refund the product cost.

Please note that if delays are caused by bad weather (e.g. snow or fog leading to airport closures), FedEx will not issue shipping refunds.

Shipping

  1. What Shipping Method Do You Recommend?

If you are buying any of our products because you want them for preventative reasons, or you just want some on hand should you need them in the future (remember that many of our products have a four-year shelf life), then we recommend USPS Priority Mail, USPS Express Mail, FedEx 2-Day or FedEx Express Saver (3-Day).

If you need our products immediately, maybe because your dog or puppy has already been diagnosed with or shows signs of Parvo, then we highly recommend a FedEx Overnight service because you are working against time and one day could make the difference between whether or not your dog survives this ordeal.

To find out more, please read our Shipping Information page, or read the Important Shipping Information section on most of our product pages. You can also use the Shipping Wizard to see which shipping method we recommend.

  2. Do You Ship Outside Of The Continental USA?

Yes, we ship to 220 countries and territories worldwide, and you will be able to find out the cost of shipping once you place a product in the shopping cart.

However, you have to realise and understand that every country has a Customs office and the package will end up there first, before it gets shipped to you. Now, under most circumstances, there are usually no problems, but occasionally, the packages are held up in Customs, and once that happens, we have absolutely no control over any of that. The only thing we can do is to supply additional paperwork as requested, but we cannot expedite any of those procedures.

In our experience, the countries that are most likely to have delays in Customs are Australia, Italy and Germany.

  3. Will You Pay For My Customs Office Fees & Charges?

No, it is your responsibility to pay any import fees levied by the Customs office in your country.

Once we ship the package and it arrives at your Customs office, we have absolutely no control over that package, nor can we exert any influence over your Customs office. They have a lot of power, they set their own policies, which can change at a moment's notice, and they can more or less do whatever they want to do in each situation.

They can even use you as fund-raising source. For example, they can, and often do, demand that you pay excessive fees in the guise of calling it a licence or a permit for herbal supplements, which they try to class as medications.

We always label our packages as "herbal supplements for pets" or "pet products", since these are clearly neither medications nor prescription drugs, so their attempt to classify them as such is incorrect. So, that is merely a way to extort extra money from individuals since they know that you probably are desperate for your package and would be willing to do whatever it takes to be able to pick it up.

This is an unfortunate situation, but it seems to be getting a lot more common. We try to do whatever we can to prevent this, but it is indeed out of our control.

If you do order a package and it gets stuck at your local Customs office, and if you don't want to pay extortionate fees to get your package, it will most likely be sent back to us. We will not be able to refund your shipping costs since we have to pay for that up-front, and FedEx will charge an additional fee to return it to us, and that must be subtracted from any refunds that we could grant you.

Buy Parvaid™, Vibactra Plus & Life Cell Immune Support Now

Please buy some Parvaid™, Vibactra Plus & Life Cell Immune Support - it could save my life!
HONESTe Online Member Seal

While Parvaid is excellent at helping the body to repair the damage caused by the Parvovirus, it works best when used with Vibactra Plus, which actually kills the virus as well as getting rid of any secondary infections caused by the Parvo, and Life Cell Immune Support, which gives your dog's immune system a much-needed boost.

We therefore recommend you try one of our Value Packs, where we've packaged together some of our most popular and effective products to save you even more money.

Don't forget:

  • Doggie Pain Relief (aka Pet's Pain Formula) will help to reduce any fever (which speeds up the healing process), but note that this product should not be taken if you or your pet have a sensitivity to aspirin; you must not give this product to cats either, because they cannot tolerate products containing too much aspirin as they can cause kidney failure.
  • Life Cell Immune Support will cleanse and detoxify your pet's blood, liver and lymphatic system, stimulate cell regeneration and give your dog's immune system a much-needed boost.
  • Parvaid™, which is our flagship product, is highly effective both when used to treat Parvo and when used as a preventative. Parvaid™ repairs all of the damaged areas caused by the Parvovirus.
  • Vibactra Plus is a powerful antibiotic with a built-in anti-parasitic, that kills the Parvovirus and prevents it from generating more new virus cells as well as getting rid of any secondary infections caused by the Parvo.

Please note, we need to receive your order by 3:00pm MST (GMT - 7) today in order to ensure same day shipping.

If any of your dogs are already sick with Parvo, or are showing any of the typical symptoms (e.g. yellow vomit, foul-smelling diarrhea), then you need to use a FedEx Overnight service to guarantee your doggie the best possible chance of surviving this dreadful virus. Please do not select USPS Express Mail expecting it to be an overnight service, because in our experience, it rarely has been.

We really do not want to see any more of our customers' dogs dying because they tried to save money by selecting a slower shipping service!

Top-Selling Products

Our Silver Value Packs are now the standard treatment protocol if your dog has Parvo or has been recently exposed to Parvo. This group of products will fight the Parvovirus on many fronts:

  • Parvaid™ will repair the damage that the virus is causing (make no mistake, this will be extensive damage as this virus is extremely aggressive, especially the newer 2c [aka F-Strain] version), stop the vomiting, diarrhea, and stimulate the dog’s appetite.
  • Vibactra Plus is our herbal antibiotic/anti-parasitic which will treat the secondary infections caused by Parvo as well as go after the virus itself, removing any ability to multiply and replicate, thus rendering it inert.
  • Life Cell Immune Support is our immune system boosting product - since the dog’s immune system has been under attack and severely compromised, Life Cell will help to restore the dog’s own natural immune system to optimum levels and Life Cell also regenerates cell damage.

Our Gold Value Pack has the same great products as our Silver Value Pack, but it also has Doggie Pain Relief which will reduce fevers and eliminate pain, as these will speed up your dog’s overall healing processes.

The Canine Parvovirus has greatly evolved since the 1970s when it first appeared. It has become very resourceful. It can survive extreme temperatures (below freezing, to boiling), it can last in your yard for up to 20 years, and typical antibiotics from the vet have no effect on it. So, this is no ordinary virus - this is a super virus that is hardy and hard to stop. This is why we have not sold single bottles of Parvaid since June 2007.

We have to sell products that will give your dog a real chance to beat Parvo and single bottles of Parvaid WILL NOT accomplish this, no matter what some will tell you. Fact is, this newer strain of Parvo is infecting and killing both puppies and adult dogs in as little as six (6) hours after the first symptoms appear, even if they were fully vaccinated.

This is a real threat and therefore we treat it as such. We’ve also had to discontinue selling our Bronze Value Packs (Parvaid™ and Vibactra Plus) as the manufacturer has revamped the protocols to include Life Cell for all treatment conditions. We had pushed for these changes and are glad that this is now the standard treatment for Parvo and exposure to Parvo. We are now updating all of our sites to reflect that the Silver Value Pack will now be the minimum treatment option for Parvo.

Top Selling Products Action Plan

  1. Completely fill out the Product Selector with the details for ALL dogs on your property. This is crucial.
  2. Order your products using FedEx Overnight, as Parvo will not wait for USPS Priority Mail packages (2 - 6 days). If you place your order after 3:00pm MST (GMT - 7) on Thursday and before 3:00pm MST (GMT - 7) on Fridays, then select FedEx Overnight with Saturday Delivery. This is only $12.50 extra (i.e. in addition to their normal FedEx Priority Overnight service) and even a single day could make the difference between life and death for your dog.
  3. Start your dog on the Parvo Emergency Tea straight away. This is an excellent stopgap measure until your package arrives. Your dog will be hydrated, receive some nutrients, and this tea will help to settle your dog’s stomach. The ingredients are readily available at your local supermarket or Wal-Mart.
  4. Also after you place your order, you will receive some additional emergency measures via email. These are additional recipes that you can make for your dog and will give him even more nutrients and keep his blood sugar levels up (when these are low, your dog may appear to have wobbly legs and be very lethargic).
  5. As soon as the package arrives start administering the products immediately. In your email, you’ll find the complete dosage instructions for all of your dogs.

Use our Product Selector Tool to help you get the right products at the right price for your specific situation. It is fast and easy. It will take less then 5 minutes - just long enough for you to tell us about your doggie family. Just fill in the form and click the calculate button. Then you'll receive your customized report instantly on your screen!

Note: We no longer sell single bottles of Parvaid.

This is because the Parvo virus is evolving and becoming ever more aggressive. Most vaccines are no longer strong enough to fight off this virus, with the result that increasing numbers of fully-vaccinated dogs (both puppies and adults) are being infected by and dying from Parvo.

It is true that Parvaid, by itself, used to be enough to treat dogs that have Parvo, but this is no longer the case - you will need to administer Vibactra Plus and Life Cell Immune Support too in order for your dog to have the best chance of recovery.

That is why we created our unique Product Selector, which will tell you exactly which products you need in your own particular situation.
