Kennel-Koff Helps Treat Your Dog (And Cat) For Kennel Cough
Kennel-Koff, with Antioxidants, is an all-natural anti-microbal herbal remedy that may help your pet fight kennel cough (tracheobronchitis) and other similar upper respiratory infections. Kennel-Koff is useful for URIs in cats, dogs, rabbits, ferrets, and other animals. In most cases Kennel-Koff will relieve your pet from the cough within 48 hours!
The herbs in this formula are known to help:
- stimulate immunity
- rid lungs of congestion
- kill viruses and bacteria
- soothe the digestive system
- rid the body of free radicals
- protect your pet from illness, if exposed
What Is Kennel Cough?
Kennel Cough generally strikes when a dog or cat is recovering from a viral or respiratory illness. Although it is mostly a secondary invader, it can also be a primary cause of illness.
Kennel cough can be picked up at kennels when boarding your pet. It can also be picked up at shows or anywhere there is a large gathering of dogs or cats.
Symptoms comprise:
- fever
- nasal discharge
- a cough that sounds like your pet may have something caught in their throat
Although by itself kennel cough is not a serious disease, it can lead to pneumonia. Immunity from the disease or from a vaccination lasts only 6 - 12 months, so it is recommended that you vaccinate your pet before going to shows, or boarding them at kennels. Kennel-Koff can be given twice a day before and after a show or boarding at a kennel. This may help to prevent your animal from coming down with the illness. Although this is not a guarantee, it is a better alternative than exposing your animal to the disease.
The cough can last up to six weeks, but if treated with Kennel-Koff, the cough usually stops within 48 - 72 hours (however, you must continue to treat for seven days). If the cough persists longer then 72 hours, then treat your pet for the full ten days. If after five days the cough is persistent, check for other symptoms such as allergies. Do not treat your pet for longer than ten days without breaking the cycle.
If the Kennel-Koff remedy does not work, your dog may have the canine flu, whose symptoms mimic kennel cough with a couple of exceptions. You should therefore use Kennel-Koff with the Pet's Cough & Cold Formula to eradicate the canine flu. If no improvement is seen with both products within four days, you should have your dog tested for distemper, as we are beginning to see many distemper cases in 2007.
Ingredients:
Kennel-Koff contains:
- Olive Leaf - Helps keep colds and flu at bay, supports the immune system, and is high in antioxidants. Olive Leaf is an excellent anti-microbial that will kill viruses and bacteria across the board. It is not widely used because it oxidizes in the body and only lasts for a few minutes. We have found a way to stabilize it so it will last for three hours at a time.
- Mustard Seed - Used in fevers, colds and influenza.
- Black Seed - An overall tonic herb known for its effects on the respiratory system, stomach and intestinal tract, kidney and liver, and the circulatory and immune system.
- Pau D’arco - a South American herb that is used for parasites and fungus, but is also used for dry cough, as an anti-inflammatory and for blood cleansing. This herb is also used for its anti-bacterial properties. Warning: Large doses or continued use of this product can cause miscarriage in pregnant animals.
- Alcohol - To bring out the properties in the herbs and preserve the tincture.
- Distilled Water
How Long Will It Last?
One 1 ounce bottle of Kennel-Koff will treat approximately two medium-sized dogs (30lbs each) or three adult cats.
Kennel-Koff has a four-year shelf (longer if kept cool).
