Parvo, also known as Canine Parvovirus (or CPV for short), is a very aggressive virus. The typical strains will cause so much internal damage that your dog may only have a window of 24 - 72 hours once symptoms start showing.

Antibiotics, immune system builders, antiviral products and other things that may help your puppy overcome Parvo are all well and good but they may be hard for your puppy to digest. Puppies with Parvo are extremely nauseous and dehydrate very quickly.

Does Parvaid™ Work?

When used for prevention (i.e. where your dog has been exposed to the Parvovirus but is not yet showing symptoms), then according to studies, nine times out of ten, if Parvaid™ is given early enough (i.e. before symptoms start), your puppy may not come down with the illness.

And if your dog does develop Parvo, it is likely to be less severe than if these preventative doses had not been administered.

The remaining 10% is made up of:

• puppies that weigh less than three pounds
• imitators of Parvo (i.e. diseases, viruses and bacteria that create symptoms that look like Parvo, but aren't)
• those puppies who had recently been wormed or vaccinated.

The survival rate decreases in those cases where puppies are not put on antibiotics at an appropriate time, as has been found in case histories. Because the virus is in the bone marrow, attacking the white blood cells, and in the intestinal tract consuming the lining and, due to vomiting, pneumonia is a risk factor. In fact, the lack of white blood cells can be a cause for secondary infections, which is why an antibiotic such as Vibactra Plus is highly recommended when treating Parvo.

Caution:

3. Do not give to animals with an existing pancreas or liver disease.
4. It is very important not to over-hydrate your puppy if they have Parvo, as this can put a strain on the heart, causing a heart attack.

Please do not select USPS Express Mail expecting it to be an overnight service, because in our experience, it rarely has been. We really do not want to see any more of our customers' dogs dying because they tried to save money by selecting a slower shipping service!

The Canine Parvovirus has greatly evolved since the 1970s when it first appeared. It has become very resourceful. It can survive extreme temperatures (below freezing, to boiling), it can last in your yard for up to 20 years, and typical antibiotics from the vet have no effect on it.
